Mamã's Birthday and Mask exhibition

I was very good for mamã's birthday :-)
We had a lovely day: football and handball games, yummy lunch in our usual Le Milord, let mamã rest for an hour and then party with Jenn and the kids. We had raclette and my mamã enjoyed champagne. Sunday we went cycling in the strong wind to a cute building in Wolume Saint Lambert  for a fascinating mask exhibition. Masks from all over Europe and Africa Portugal, Spain, Austria, Germany, Italy, Africa...showing devil masks to worn off the devil/spirits and to rejuvenate the crops/life and to help the dead move to the next life.
After we cycled back back to Wezembeek for a comic book fair. Yes, yes, my favourite type of "brocante". I bought 21 Bob and Bobette comic books with my birthday money.

10th Birthday

My 10th Birthday - I had two birthday cakes and two celebrations. Up early in Porto before the flight with everyone and then a party with my friends in Brussels. Oh yummy cakes :-)
We played football, football, football, archery, football, boule, football and hide & seek.

Grapes

Utilising our home grown grapes. We got a hoard this year - two massive washing baskets full. The birds did not eat this year - no idea why - so we could try wine making and do some sorbet again

Cycling

Cycling is our latest family sport. We have been so lucky with the weather in September and early October. We enjoyed the Brussels car free day in September and then October cycling around the neighbourhood discovering new paths by apple trees and new beers frown emoti

Games

I love playing cards, monopoly (althought others don't like playing with me, as it goes on for days...) & uno. I even taught my Mamã how to play chess. Also here I am with my favourite cat - Wistiki

Portugal - home = part 3

We went to the Caldas food festival - massive. The hors d'ouvre was a little surprising - hare.
I bought a Boa Vista, nope Caldas football scarf and posed with this cool granddad. After we went to the local August village party at Foz Do Arelho.

Portugal - home = part 2

It's so nich to discover new places and restaurants. We saw so much fruit and veg for harvesting as we cycled from home to the lake for lunch.

Portugal - Tomar

On the way to Óbidos we took a detour and spent the day in Tomar - I did not enjoy so much all the walking around as it was 38 Deg C however I did like pretending to find monsters in the monastery. Also look at my yummy eclair.

Portugal - Feira

Visited Feira medieval fair - I was complaining that I did NOT want to go...tired and just wanted to play on the phone Clash of Clans. However, I did have loads of fun, there was entertainment and things to buy: being a king for a few seconds, watching a jester, holding an owl, drinking the local goodies

Portugal holidays

With the family in Vale Cambra for the yearly festivity :-)
I went a week earlier and my parents joined on this day - so pleased to see them - although I did enjoy playing with all my cousins - Beijinhos
And at the end of the holidays we were at the beach :-)
