St Nicholas Party

Yes, it's that time of year again - face paining, watching the show, tattoos on my arms, chips and cake for lunch and Wii games...St Nicholas is at mamã and papá's work :-). Even papá was part of the circus show.
I got a (similar make????) MP4 player.
I saw St Nicholas again in Mons a few hours later after the handball tournament. We went to a very good WW1 exhibition about the battle of Mons.

Remembrance - 100 years

I have been learning many things about World War 1 as we commemorate 100 years this year. So much loss and bravery. I have been to museums in Brussels, I went with Ti'pah to the cenotaph in Ruscombe for the laying of the poppy wreath by Ti'pah and we went up to London to see the sea of glass poppies around Tower of London, as well as the exhibitions in Trafalgar square museums.
Ti'pah organized a booklet to commemorate the men of Wokingham Borough who fought and lost their lives in WW1.

Grandma's 70th

On 9th November, A. Vicky, U. Keith and Lauren joined us at Grandma and Ti'pah's house to celebrate Grandma's 70th Birthday (from Ocotber). We had a photo session home made. Then we went to a lovely meal at The Greyhound in Peppard Common with chef Antony Worrall Thompson.
A yummy meal and lovely decor too. BIG HUGS AND KISSES, GRANDMA FOR YOUR 70TH.

I got a camera from Grandma and Ti'pah for my birthday the day before so when we went for walk after lunch in Henley, I took loads of pictures, every stained window in the church, every angle of the church and Red Lion Hotel and viewpoints from the bridge :-)

My 9th Birthday

I had two celebrations this year for my 9th birthday. On the actual day, I celebrated in England and Grandma and Ti'pah's house, opening my presents after everyone had breakfast...THANK YOU for all my great and generous presents. Then I went to the cinema with mamã and papá so I could have popcorn (I don't think it's really the film that first attracts me but it is really the popcorn, which my mam knows which of course I want the largest size but get the normal size). We watched Ninja Turtles which was cool. After I had my second favourite food - pizza - we had late pizza lunch....how small the pizzas are in England...so I had a chocolate dessert. Back home, Uncle Josh, Chandni and Vivaan arrived so that was fun too. We had early dinner altogether. It was a great birthday.
I even made a short video reading out my birthday card from Portugal.
Here is the video

Then the following Saturday back in Belgium I had my birthday party with my friends and this year we went bowling - everyone loved it. We had two games, cake and drinks. I had loads of fun. In the evening, we had friends Jenn, Philippe, Audrey and Florian as well as Regina and Johan to celebrate mine and my mamã's birthday for dinner/snacks.
