Mother's Day

It's mamã's day and I've made lots of things at school - I have grown some herbs, made a card with hearts and a story inside + photo, I've made a box with cakes inside and a decorative bag and envelope. Mamã was very surprised and very happy - got loads of cuddles and kisses :-). Mamã says she is also lucky as we celebrated 3 times this year - english in march, portuguese last week Sunday and now the belgium one today :-)

School Fête

Our yearly school fête and this year we had multiple days of sports activities - I throw javelin 7 m, shotput 4 m, ran 400 metres, did long jump (starting from stationary position) 1m.
at the school fête we had a list of activities and needed to do at least 10 including 'sack' race. Here I am with papá. The weather was not so good but we live so close we wait home in between and watched "Hugo" on DVD (a very good film, i think more for my mamã and papá). We returned late for the barbecue and listened to the two bands of school kids and 1 of adults. I had a good sleep that night :-)

2nd Tooth

At last after a couple of weeks my 2nd tooth fell out....this time I ate it with easter chocolate. Mamã and I heard a big crunch and then that was it :-) Tooth fairy still came and now I am half way to buying a playmobil figure. Do you think I look smart in my clothes until you see the ugly face expression to show off my missing tooth!

Disney & Universal; Stovepipe Wells & Death Valley; Palm Springs from April

I should have shared this a month ago but just loading now more pictures from California vacation. I loved Star Tours and Buzz Lightning Toy Story shooting game, as well as Bugs Life (here standing outside with the naughty Locust). How many characters do you recognise (excluding Uncle Raymond, Auntie Helena and mamã and papá.

We also enjoyed the Stovepipe wells sand dunes (posted earlier a picture of me sliding down, now this time with mamã and papá balancing beautifully). We also licked the salt in Death Valley after taking a short break of our neighbour's motorbike :-). And I walked along with the Stars on Hollywood Road. We even found a star with Jose' Jose' :-)

California cont...

On our way home I had a few special treats. We visited an amazing BIG aquarium in Atlanta (where we touched baby sharks...well I kept missing as too low below the surface but mamã and papá managed) and we visited the Coca Cola museum (I just liked the fact I could try a very odd flavoured drink at the end of the tour and pick up my own coca cola BOTTLE). And....on the aeroplane from Atlanta to Brussels I got to sit in the cockpit and meet the pilot and crew. I put on the 'captain's hat', sat in his seat and 'steered'. I don't think though I want to be a pilot...

Carnaval

Yes, Carnaval is back and it's still very cold (-10 deg in the morning, warmed up to -4 degC with a chill)...so the party at school was inside. I put my knight's clothing over my coat in case it was outside :-) I got to play games and get my piece of paper stamped so I could get one free cake....yummy. You think I only had one cake?
Mamã and I made fairy cakes Friday evening to take to the school. I did ALL the mixing and I put smarties and sugary cola bottles on top :-) I chose the sweets myself in the shop with mamã.  Here I am in front of our cakes on the left.
Do you like my "Guarding Post" pose in front of the school?
And my pose with Anaël before I throw the soft sock balls at the tins (my mamã decided to not add the photo of me with my familiar tongue sticking out as I focus :-))

First tooth Lost

Wow, I am so happy and so excited. My first tooth came out last night. I was eating some hard crusted bread and all of a sudden I had blood pouring out of my mouth and my tooth was loose and painful (oh, I shed quite some tears). Then I stuggled to eat dinner...felt poorly. I saw in front of Canal Panda TV and started to feel better. My mamã came and we were watching together when suddenly my mamã said "Tiago, your tooth has gone". Ooooohhhhh. Yeepeeeeee. I am now really a 6 year old :-)
But we could not find the tooth. We looked everywhere on the sofa, under the sofa, in the sofa, moved the sofa....Anyway my mamã said I had to be in bed by 9.00 and be good for the tooth fairy to come. I was in my room 9.03 and we had a story on the bed (so officially I was kind of in bed). Well, we wrote a note to the Tooth Fairy (which I signed) to say sorry about losing the tooth and I went off to sleep.
Also I am starting to read with my mamã the bedtime stories...We read 3 Billy Goats Gruff....I guess some words as I remember them, others I try to read etc...
And in the morning under my pillow was my note AND 1 EURO :-) So when I lose 5 teeth, I will have enough for buying a playmobil. I am so excited :-)
I look forward to showing my papá tonight when he comes back from the UK.

By the way, it was -10 degrees today (yep, minus 10)....I am trying to smile but also show off my missing tooth in this photo.

Yep, once I am in the bath, I have loads of fun, especially when the bubbles are overflowing :-)

My future career

Yes, I like to try different things, so here I am being a pilot for a few minutes at the Sabena Airlines exhibition :-)
We saw loads of different uniforms, aeroplane chairs over the years, models of aircraft, posters advertising pictures.
We also saw american indian show with loads of feather hats, even some made from teeth of monkeys.

Camera paparazzi

Ti'pah brought me back by train to home. I tried to help Ti'pah as we walked through the stations and took 5 trains (one to london, one metro across london, one train across the water to brussels, one metro and another metro to get home - phew, but i enjoyed it :-))
With Ti'pah and mamã we went downtown to try to get my Portuguese ID but no one available to take the photo. So we then met and had lunch in Stokkel. Then we went home and made 'shrinking dinasours' - loads of fun, you colour in a hand sized dinosaur and then put it in the oven and it becomes small and hard to make keyrings/magnets (thank you Max for the pressie).
Well, mamã loves taking pictures and since we had no luck for the ID she took a 'string'. She tells me she has to take loads to get a good one...anyway here I am showing off my tie and waistcoat as usual. Nearly everytime my mamã and papá tell me to choose what I want to wear, I get my tie (cravate) and today I took the waistcoat too :-).
At school, I am very good at maths. I am also not too bad with my french spelling and reading although I think my mamã and papá think I should be much better and it's a bit of a painfule experience. Every week I also need to mark green/orange/red on 10 behaviours/tasks. I have good weeks and then some bad weeks where I am not tidying my desk, not being quiet in the corridor and organizing my things or not listening and disturbing others. Not good, I know.
I still am a very good eater and still have loads of energy every day playing and running in any break we have (and getting more cuts and bruises).

Maybe you could tell vote on which is the best photo?! Enjoy the paparazzi.
