Grandma's birthday

Ti'pah and Grandma stayed on after the parties and we could celebrate grandma's party with cake of course. We also went to Paris on the train to meet mamã and papá who had gone the night before. I saw the Eiffel Tower - very excited - so tallllllllllll. We had a lovely lunch before taking metro and bus and going to the horse races. I tried to guess the right winner, got it wrong each time. One horse won millions of euros. Wowwwww. We had dinner on the train coming back travelling first class to celebrate.

40th + 10th

Party time - it's papá's 40th birthday and mamã and papá's 10th wedding anniversary. We had loads of friends and the close family come to celebrate. We celebrated all weekend and partied in the Old La Fermette - lots of food, drinks and cakes, chocolated....yummy. Stayed up to after midnight to celebrate papá's birthday with a cake with a picture of him as a small boy.

I love my mamã and papá very much.

Summer is over

Wow 2 months have passed and I now am starting to understand days, weeks, months and 365 days in a year. I spent a whole month in Portugal and England with the extended family. Had a wonderful time, playing, swimming, eating, playing, talking, reading....My reading has improved - I can read most things in french. I like to try a few things in english etc...I lost my 4th tooth in Porto while eating soup. I am 1.27m and waigh 27.3 kg. I love to make chocolate chip biscuits. I was happy that I could move from 1st to 2nd class and immediately went to buy all the pens, pencils, ruler etc for 2nd class. I got a gift of new rucksack etc...and here I am on my first day on 2nd class.

End of School, Teeth and Asterix Park

School is finished and I passed the 1st Year - YES. I got a good report and was told to continue my recent very good behaviour.
We went to the dentist and he told me to clean my teeth in the morning and evening (so I will be very dilignet now) and wiggle my loose tooth for 3 days....and yes, on the 4th morning, my 3rd tooth fell out...look at my big gap :-).
I went to Judo/badminton/minisports stage this week - I had loads of fun. We did a show at the end of the week showing our Judo foot and arm movements + made "grants". Mamã picked me up on the Friday and we had a coca cola/beer outside the gym in the cafe' and then we had pasta and salad. We had been to Cook and Book for dinner with Papá on Wednesday too when the weather was beautiful. I played in the little park by the restaurant. On Saturday we went to Asterix park outside Paris, France. Lots of fun buildings, decoration and we watched Roman soldiers, became Roman soldiers, went on a ghost train, went on water ride and flying carpet round and round. Lots of fun besides the multiple downpour of rain. I bought a Roman outfit.We had dinner in Senlis, in a tiny creperie restaurant which was a nice change. Fell asleep straight away in the car trip home.

My drawings

I continue to love to draw and my skills are improving....I like drawing people and I like to draw scenes around circus since our school circus trip. I am also using the ruler a lot and wanting to write text with some help on the spelling.Here are two examples that are now hanging on our fridge in the kitchen.

Wedding Istanbul

School finished at 12.10 and then home for lunch before on the aeroplane to Istanbul. We had a great hotel (HHK) with my own individual room. We looked over the Golden Horn, a few hundred metres from Suleimaniye Mosque. Beautiful with a little pool and very friendly people. We visited the city including Haghia Sophia, the Archaeological Museum (with some amazing tombs), Grand Bazaar where I got football top and shorts of Portugal from Euro 2012 with Ronaldo #7. We went to Berna and Dany's wedding on the Bosphorus, Portaxe. Beautiful time - a very happy big party with loads of great company (playing with the other kids) and dancing and food and...eventually I fell asleep on my inflatable bed. The next day we went across the Bosphorus to Besiktas to Ortakoy (market stalls and lazy cafés) and naval museum, to the Blue Mosque at night after kebab dinner. We visited the wonderful frescoes of Church of St Saviour in Chora and then had lunch overlooking Golden Horn at the Pierre Loti restaurant. We walked down through the BIG cemetery and took a very small powered boat to Miniturk. Loads of fun walking around Miniturk that I drew pictures back home. Then it was time to leave and back to the airport after visiting the spice market.

Euro 2012 Football

England, England....or is it Portugal, Portugal....or is it Hello matey I am a Pirate....
Yes it's football mega competition and both England (a surprise) and Portugal are through to the QuarterFinals. We do not expect them to ever meet as they would both need to make it to the Final.
I also have my local Belgium team...well I am not sure how many of us are actually Belgium but if we all take belgium nationality when we are 18, here is the future national team :-)

School Year Photo

Yes, here we all are with Stéphanie our teacher...My best friend remains Anaël and we are having loads of fun. We have got better through the year and I am getting some weeks all green.

Medieval weekend

The witches against the knights...here is a friendly witch and then here is a 3-headed witch....our yearly Etterbeek medieval event. Great beers (so my parents tell me), sausages and fizzy drinks as well as games and music. There was a man playing 'drums' (symbals) across the floor.
We also joined the jazz events in the centre of Brussels and I had my first Thai meal (not impressed and ate the chicken without the peanut sauce). So won't be going to Thailand soon then?
It was another long weekend so we went to Walibi on the Monday.
It was such a beautiful sunny weekend, we got the swimming pool out for the first time. Anabel from nextdoor came to play one evening.

Sunny weekend with cousin

What a turn out for the weather for our long weekend in Belgium. Tia, Tio and Rodrigo are visiting. We went to Planckendael (zoo, live animals), Toy museum in Mechelen, Walibi and Aqualibi (my favourite rite are the roller coasters ladybird and mine + water slides) and African Museum and Tervuren Park (dead animals and loads in a new exhibition in the basement). I helped Rodrigo in and out of the cars in Walibi, well I kind of helped. Loved to run around with and after Rodrigo. Here are lots of smiley faces. I am also eating three of my favourite foods - bread, pizza and (just eaten, so can not see) spaghetti bolognaise.
