early Spring in February

No rain - yeepeeee - look how we have all grown - here is Lucas, Jacob, Florian and unfortunately Cameron is inside as he just stepped into the garden pond...We played 'race around' the garden on our grand prix cars and I wanted to show the best game 'drive into each other' (I think Uncle Josh taught me that....oops).

Who wants a bath?

Do you like my hair do? I am getting much more hair...it's thicker but fine and pretty much none existent. It's curly and mouse brown colour. Papã still cuts it...so dutch style I have cheap haircuts...(what's dutch style - my hairdo!?). I like my baths and I will soon want to soap myself...luckily my parents company invented this soapy product where I can squeeze and squeeze and the liquid soap pours out and out.

Happy 2008 - Yes my new year resolutions are to be a good boy, to fall asleep as soon as I go to bed (instead of talking, asking for more cars, wanting more milk) and to obey everything my parents tell me....Now I will let you into a secret - since I do not understand what a resolution is I think I can say probably they will not happen :-)

New Year

Mamã made loads of efforts for a special meal, she called it, with a special candle and cake. It seemed to be just an excuse to eat even more food, a continuation from the whole week. Now if you did not know already I have a very healthy diet and love my food. I am very good with my spoon and fork at mealtimes and now even eat all my vegetables (well, a few more than a few weeks ago). Tio and Tia came to visit too - lots of fun and playing with cars.

Christmas

Look at my Christmas creations - I like blowing the candle out (I remember all the fun from my birthday party...so actually I am not sure what the difference is between Christmas and Birthday as I get loads of presents at both). Here I am just about to dive over the presents and get the one present that caught my eye with Winnie the Pooh characters on it. Grandma and Teepah joined us for the holidays

Christmas - markets

Christmas markets are full of fun things -cars, fire engines, trucks that go around and around and around, up and down and people wave as I pass by :-). My parents and Grandma, Ti'pah seemed to enjoy more the chestnuts and presents (like a snake scarf for me) and mulled wine and all the light shows in Aachen, Brussels and Tournai... I suppose the latter interests will grow on me.

Travel

Off to Greece and look how smart we all are for the wedding of mama's cousin Alexis and Libby...Dinner started after 10 pm so I hit the dance floor with the disco lights and boogeeed the night away to 1 am.

Then we took the train with Grandma and Ti'pah to F.R.Macedonia to see where Great Great Grandfather came from. What a lot of fun we had playing in all the thick snow. It was very cold. I loved playing in the slush and sliding across the paths - yeeepeeeee.

I love playing around.
and waving goodbye and carrying the bags.

Birthday Boy

I am 13 kg and 92 cm with a slender body, blond hair and green/brown eyes, eager to make friends and take what looks good in your hands into mine :-)

Yes, I am two years old and don't I look a big boy in my crown. I am opening my cards and presents alone now and loving the centre of attention with all the family and friends.

Family picture

I love this picture of us. It's September and I am learning fast to understand what my parents are both telling me (although they don't always know). I can now come down the stairs on my own. I love to be tickled and it's great fun just before bedtime on my parents bed - I laugh so much.

Christening - part II

There is more on the Christening... The moment before and after - a very friendly priest who took not much notice of Florian and I running around the chapel and Florian's banging on the radiator... But at the required moments, I was very well behaved.
I loved all the food and decorations. Here I am cutting my Christening cake.

Christening - part I

The number of people just kept growing at my Christening. I had loads of fun - a very happy time and Mama and Papa with lots of help from Grandma and " Teepah" in the garden and Tia Claudia, Auntie Vicky for the cooking and baby sitting.

Thank you all for coming and for all the gifts and for all the fun.

Where am I in this photo? I think I ran away as I'd had enough of posing all day...:-)

Cannon + biscuit

We went sightseeing to the border of Portugal and Spain. We bought a "St. Tiago granite statue" and here I am overlooking Spain from Valenca sitting on a cannon.

So you think I am offering you a biscuit - you must be kidding. This is just a photo pose and then immediately after it was in my big tummy.

Portugal - swimming

It's summer already and I am learning to swim...well, splash. I think it's great and I love to jump into the pool with my papa ready to catch me.

I look rather dashing in my bathrobe. See my James Bond 007 'look' - not sure who he is but the girl nextdoor mentioned it with a wink.

Toys + windmill

I joined the celebrations of Hans and Rita's 25 years wedding anniversary and thought the windmill was a cool place.
I can build the railway myself now and love to bridge the rail with my legs (normally standing up) as well as send the "Winnie Poo" train on it's way.

Jane 15 ys service + Paradisio

Here we are in Paradisio visiting the parrots, seals and turtels. There were even giraffes in the ship. I am getting much better at making all the animal sounds.
I gave these flowers to my Mama - hmmmhmmmm - maybe not - she got them to celebrate 4 months early her 15 years at work. But don't tell anyone.
I say hello, bye bye and blow kisses on the phone when Mama or Papa call on the phone.

Brussels

The month of visitors with Grandma and 'Teepah' in the Grand Place; Garfield in his car in the local shopping area in Stokkel and then Tia Claudia and Tio Ricardo when they came to see the new Aerosoles shoe shops.

I'm growing fast. The hair is still short but thickening out. I love to run. I am very good at building blocks. I now say "night night" and put my toys away.

The warm weather continues and look at my smile. I'm having so much fun with songs, stories and cars.

My good friend at the Creche

Back from Cuba and I am showing off my tan to my favourite creche nanny - Nadine. I am also showing off my "Cars" T-Shirt. Oh what fun to be able to say "Car, car, car, car, car ...." Of course, notice the doux-doux too.

Cuba

Music, Sun, Water, Beach, Drinks, Sightseeing - what more could I ask for. I think I look cool in my sunglasses. I dominated the pool in the kiddie section, finding it lots of fun to play with my ducks in a much larger area than my bath back home. So here I am in Valadero and Trinidad.

Papa is at the pool bar (oops, no he is isn't right now in the photo). Which way do I need to face for the photo to get a good view of my sunglasses.
Here I am on the balcony in Trinidad's main square. I have just been dancing at a local bar with the local band. I love dancing and I am good at shifting my body back and forth and from side to side. I even learnt to clap today for the first time before anyone else to congratulate the band. I think everyone else was a little worse for wear due to the local rum drink.

Look at my new friends - 3 towel teddies and I am posing in front of our classic Cuban car photo taken at the Botanical Gardens we visited.
Hello Mama and the rest of you. I love this place. Such a wonderful setting at the Mogotes. We had a very romantic dinner at the local restaurant in the next village and we walked up and down the highstreet with music coming from the houses and people sitting on the porches. I think I stayed up until very late to my parents (dis)satisfaction!

Spring in France

Long weekend and my parents want to go travelling. I just sit in the back seat, sleep or daze out the window and love it. No car sickness and I have loads of energy as soon as the car door opens. Papa and I ran up the hill to visit the castle in North of France and I got a piggy back all the way down. We then sat for a crepes and ice cream on the river with kiddie playarea. Afterwards we drove through Compiegne (Joan of Arc) and a rock concert and sat outside for a meal in the evening. Of course, I slept in the car on the way home.
