I made apple cake for papá's birthday. I used the school recipe and cooking apples from the neighbour's garden. I wrote on the cake Parabens and to Papa and decorated it...with loads of decor from London, but I didn't mind. We took papá out for dinner.

Entertainment
While papa is at the P&G Football tournament in Slovenia, mamã and I played football in Tervuren park, ate for the first and only time in the 'Lunch Garden' (where I kept on checking that mamã was ok and liked the heavy food) and then we went to look at the Halloween stuff in Carrefour...i sat and read books while mamã just enjoyed looking at the shop and buying me clothes :-)
We went cycling and joined street pump in Woluwe Saint Lambert.

School
I had to write the rules of the school out as well as explain to the Director why I need to obey the rules...
I was very thoughtful and accurate to write 10 sentences (although my parents thought it was a 'tactic' to delay going to bed...).

Dude
I am growing up fast...I love to read books...I love to play games on the phone...I love to be late, well I don't seem to worry to be on time anywhere, anyday, except the two weeks of 'car free' to school. I was actually on time every day, either walking or twice cycling to school. My parents were amazed.
We also cycled all the way into town on the Sunday car free day...down past Woluwe Shopping Centre, past Montgomery and past Cinquantiere, past The Park and Parliament, across Cathedrale and to Saint Catherine. 30 km in total. No complaining. Loved it. Slept well that night.

Medieval Fair
Oh yes, I love a party and this was really cool...Medieval Fair at Ransart.
I had a go at sword fighting, after watching the professionals. I dressed up and blended in well with some of the local folk.
The Scots were out too, one week before the Referendum....so took a photo with our countrymen.

Brussels and Tintin
Back in Belgium after one month in sunny Portugal and the sun is shining :-)
We went downtown and joined the Comic weekend...with this year a car show from Tintin books/films - brilliant.
I took a 'drink' from Captain Haddock and kiss from his companion.
I loved all the tents full of books and bought a few. As well after I had chicken fingers and chips - yummy.

Summer holidays - Portugal
We drove all the way to Porto for a month's holiday - mamã and papá had taken one month parental leave. We do loads of things including spent 3 weeks in our house in Obidos and had visitors every day except 2 - it was GREAT. I love having visitors and people to talk and play with.
We visited places, we went a number of times to the lagoon to play/swim in the water, as well in our own swimming pool. We had so many toys for the beach - paddling boat, badminton, balls, volleyball, mini-tennis, even a small body surf.
After the first weekend celebrating the yearly festival in Caviao we went to Obidos. On the Sunday 10th August we had all the family visiting +40 of us. We played 2 hours of football at the local pitch, swam, ate, walked into the town, ate again. It was so great to have everyone - THANK YOU.
Tia, Tio, R&R stayed on and we visited dinosaur museum in Lourinha, went bowling, swam in the pool, lunch in Peniche and visit the craft market, went to the beach and one of our favourite beaches near Peniche called Baleal. Toze', C, B&K joined us too and we visted the Belengas islands. What a rough sea, waves 3 metres high so I was a little sick going. At the island and joined m&p and Toze' and we walked up and down to the Fort, then we went on a little boat ride with the others. The return journey was better sitting on the very front of the boat and the owners even went back to rescue papá's hat when it went flying in the wind. We played boule in the woods and played for hours in the water.

Summer Holidays - UK
A long weekend in England by car....and the time to stay with Grandma and Ti'pah when my parents went back to Belgium. It is great there is skype so I can see and talk to mamã and papá everyday. Jeremy was visiting and I loved telling him everything :-) We had fish and chips for dinner and sat outside on the patio.
Saturday we had party lunch with Eleni and Constantino, Sally and John and Chandni, Josh and Vivaan. Later Jeremy left and had time to relax, watch TV and eat more :-)
On Sunday, we had lunch at a pub The Coach and Horse in Ganborough and I tried my hand for the first time with cricket. They was a family playing in the garden of the pub and I joined it - it was great fun :-). After we visited a National Trust House where Charles I and II had stayed. I joined the garden tour and then in every room I asked the historians questions, fascinating.

Luxembourg
What a fun weekend. We hired a chalet and small hut to spend the weekend away in Luxembourg with Jenn, Philippe, Florian and Audrey. We stayed in Wiltz.
It was a party town for the Whitsunday long weekend - it had a parade with people from all over Europe including from the place we had visited in Croatia. One night I went with my parents up the hill to the castle and listened to a orchestra concert. We visited another town with twin castles and went to the top of one to see great view, went swimming in the river and played badminton with some Belgium girls - yep, I am not shy, I just ask can I play and they agreed :-)
We had a great pool in the camping/chalet as well as a playground so entertainment all the time for us.
We visited a war museum, lots of history of the 2nd WW in this area.
Let's do it again :-)

School Fete
It is the school fete and this year it is the 50 years celebration of La Fermette. For me it is a chance to eat cakes, drink coke and run around :-) There was no show this year. We had prepared stories about the 50 years and in the 'Old La Fermette' there was an exhibition on the last 50 years. We had a black and white photo taken of us...to fit into character.
We had a barbecue and a yummy display of cakes to choose from. We played games and had our faces painted - me: a zombie.
While my parents chatted with other parents, I went climbing the fence and playing football with my friends in our football ground behind the school.
Soon after in June it was time for exams including music. My mummy was so pleased when the music exams were over - what a difficult subject to learn - especially when loads of papers all in french with little explanation - so after hours of translating, searching, I go the basics and miraculouly passed. Mummy was clear I was not continuing this next year...luckily I now had the qualification to start an instrument lesson of my choice...guitar in October :-)
Overall exam results - I did very well. Behaviour - well, let's just say not as green as my subject results....oh, the number of times we had a converation on behaviour and a few lines to write, breaks missed outside the Director's office.

Running
I love to run....
I got my parents to run in the charity school run. We ran 7 kilometers....well actually I was suppose to run 2 km with all the other kids but we got the wrong start time so missed it :-)
Since I wanted to run, I ran with the parents. We started the run together and we crossed the finish together. We each ran at different speeds and then waited for each other to cross together :-)
Mummy wanted to go at a slow steady pace, while I wanted to run fast, then I got a stitch and ran back to wait for Mummy and then repeated it again :-)
Vovó was visiting us so we got a great photo at the end of the race. I came 3rd in the kids for the 7 km race (2nd boy :-))

Oman
and our little adventure....first we went to visit Hatta still in Dubai and then ventured across the border to go to a Wadi in Oman...a challenge with no proper IDs for me and mummy but we made it back, after waiting 30 minutes at the border on the return as the guard had changed.

Dubai
What a place to spend money doing so many different and exciting things...the shopping malls with amazing displays including a Diplodocus Longus dinasour, cinemas, art and entertainment; simulation of sky diving with Papá; greeting the penguins with mummy; 6 hours in Kidzania where I learnt to be a dentist, fireman, security guard, working in Mcdonalds, bottling coke, making perfumes, climbing wall of a building, actor, getting money from a bank; swimming with dolphins and up and down waterpark slides including going through a tank of fish and rays; driving in the desert in a 4-wheel jeep; watching belly dancing and riding a camel; making friends including Martin from Kenya (my best friend from Dubai); playing football on the sand and swimming in the sea which had jelly fish (yuck - message from mummy); Papá took a helicopter ride; we celebrated our trip with a drink to view the coast at night on 52nd floor of a hotel; and of course visited the Burj Khalifa viewing at 452 m (out of 850m) at the 124th floor. Our best shopping mall was Souk Madinat Jumeirah.... and we walked passed a Lamborghini and Ferrari to see the Burj Al Arab 6 star hotel (not allowed to wonder in). At the mall we bought a compass for our sea theme in Óbidos and ate big burger and cocktails for dinner.
