School finishing

My last week of school was sooooo much fun. We had games every day, we did a cross country run (where I did 16 kilometres with my friend Matty) and we visited Côte d'Or chocolate museum today. I loved it especially learning all about how chocolate is made. I brought a big bag of chocolate goodies home including my own made bar of chocolate. I decorated the wrapper too....with a US flag - Happy Independence Day.

School report

My parents are very proud of my school year end results. My grades (out of a max of 10 points; class average in brackets):

The cherry on top of the cake is that my behaviour is now excellent, too.

Waterloo - 200 years

What a fantastic time - visiting the bivouacs and Napolean's headquarters. We walked kms - 5 km to go from the French bivouac and N's headquarters and then to Allies' bivouac. Phew. Luckily weather was early 20s and no rain. We ate yummy belgium fast food and I tried beer - yep, Waterloo.

We saw also the new memorial for the bicentenary after seeing the troops leaving for the battlefield.

Next: the three armies met at the battlefield and the battle began...Champ de Bataille de Waterloo.

5,000 troops, 300 canons and 300 horses. The French attack on Hougoumont farm is unsuccessful.

We were with Jenn, Philippe, Florian and Audrey with a great view...a few of the 60,000 spectators.

Sports

The weather is so nice in the evenings that mummy and I have been playing badminton most days. We are all now signed up for tennis with Animer, so now also enjoying this :-) I am not to bad and giving my mummy a run around the court. smile emoticon

Pressies

Nice card & present (piggybank) from me on (Belgium's) Father's day!

And on May 10th it was Belgium's mother's day! Cards with messages and a hand painted bag for make-up.

Camping

We just finished commissioning our new tent in the back garden, having breakfast after having slept in it last night - approved and ready for REAL camping now!

 

I slept beautifully in my new sleeping bag. I love it :-)

Jaccuzi

I love splashing and playing in the jaccuzi...my parents are not so happy with me...well it's water and it's a pool with some bubbles so why worry?
I am just going for another big splash, before dinner and a movie ahead of sleeping in our tent.

Medieval Fair

T'is the season for Medieval fairs!

 Fernelmont Castle. 

I am all dressed up - a little hot - very happy to have unhealthy drinks and food as well as watch the fighting, try a bit myself, do some archery after all my practise in our own garden (well now it's with real bow and arrow).
