Yes, I like to try different things, so here I am being a pilot for a few minutes at the Sabena Airlines exhibition :-)
We saw loads of different uniforms, aeroplane chairs over the years, models of aircraft, posters advertising pictures.

We also saw american indian show with loads of feather hats, even some made from teeth of monkeys.

Ti'pah brought me back by train to home. I tried to help Ti'pah as we walked through the stations and took 5 trains (one to london, one metro across london, one train across the water to brussels, one metro and another metro to get home - phew, but i enjoyed it :-))
With Ti'pah and mamã we went downtown to try to get my Portuguese ID but no one available to take the photo. So we then met and had lunch in Stokkel. Then we went home and made 'shrinking dinasours' - loads of fun, you colour in a hand sized dinosaur and then put it in the oven and it becomes small and hard to make keyrings/magnets (thank you Max for the pressie).
Well, mamã loves taking pictures and since we had no luck for the ID she took a 'string'. She tells me she has to take loads to get a good one...anyway here I am showing off my tie and waistcoat as usual. Nearly everytime my mamã and papá tell me to choose what I want to wear, I get my tie (cravate) and today I took the waistcoat too :-).
At school, I am very good at maths. I am also not too bad with my french spelling and reading although I think my mamã and papá think I should be much better and it's a bit of a painfule experience. Every week I also need to mark green/orange/red on 10 behaviours/tasks. I have good weeks and then some bad weeks where I am not tidying my desk, not being quiet in the corridor and organizing my things or not listening and disturbing others. Not good, I know.
I still am a very good eater and still have loads of energy every day playing and running in any break we have (and getting more cuts and bruises).

New Year 2011 to 2012

I spent New Year with Grandma and Ti'pah while mamã and papá went to Bratislava in Slovakia. We talked everyday via skype on papá"s greatest toy EVER the iPhone. Mamã and papá went clubbing (partying) and even showed me the midnight partying in the square New Year's Eve (can you spot Ti'pah and me in the crowd?)
Well I could not resist to also share a photo of me and papá working hard during our Christmas break (yep, can you spot the iPhone)

Father Christmas arrived :-)

I put out two carrots for the reindeer, a cake and cup of milk for Father Christmas....wow the reindeer were hungry and left just a little part of one carrot, milk was gone and cake eaten into...Plus there were presents all under the tree and three stockings -one for me and one for my mamã and papá.
Here I am surrounded by my presents :-) Thank you all for my generous gifts.

Creativity

I love to draw and make things. I made a computer and I made a robot...look at all the details. He can move his arms, legs, head separately. Of course he has a tie and a belt.

I have one more week of school until the holidays. I finish 23rd and will then take a plane with papá to join mamã at Grandma and Ti'pah's house for Christmas

Here is a photo of me with a touch of 'magic' and my favourite toy at the moment "Sweetie" (a girl) who mamã brought back from France (around the topic of Keeping Safe and helping each other keep safe). I am also with the school classroom mascot as I was a very good boy (and then not so good the next day :-()

Tintin and Christmas Markets

Winter is here and the Christmas decorations are everywhere....the hot chocalate, the Father Christmas(es) walking in the streets giving out sweets, the huts selling decorations for Christmas, scarves, hats, dolls, bags, tops...the list is endless. We had a lovely day out in Louvain-La-Neuve where the shops in the mall and streests were open on Sunday. We ate in a tapas restaurant where I was not too keen on my salmon lasagne...anyway....lots of things to see including christmas markets. We also visited the Tintin Museum well the Herge' Museum which includes the stories of Tintin. My parents liked it, I prefered the film which was great :-).

Party time

What a great day....chips and ice cream at the St Nicholas party of mamã and papá, as well as football goals from St Nicholas...I was all smiles for the camera as I sat on St Nicholas' knee. We had a whirl of a trip to then be "on time" for my birthday party at the "Magic Chateau" with 14 friends. Loads of obstacles to climb, go around/over/under, slides straight and round&round. Everyone sang "Bon Anniversaire" in french, then in english, with smarties cake and drinks. I got great presents and opened them all and played one by one with each of them :-)

I am still 24.5 kg and now taller than 120 cm so I got into most of the Walibi rides already in August :-). My hair is mousy blonde, my eyes brown. I have long eyelashes :-) I am not fat and not overthin, even if I love to eat and eat.

Sunshine in the Leaves

Lovely sunny days with the leaves fallen all around...I put my beaver hat on from Brazil and off into the woods with my mamã. Kicked leaves, watched the chickens and fed the horses. Mamã took an arty picture of me :-) We are off to see Tintin 3D film later at the cinema. Made my birthday gifts for the birthday party last night for the kids (spiderman/princess socks, crackers, chocolates, sweets and balloons). Only 7 more days to my party.
I played football indoor and we won 6-4. Plus I got my 5 m swimming certificate (for crawl, breastroke, butterfly). My mamã watched and was very proud - I was also very calm and straight as I swam also only kicking my legs. We also went walking in La Hulpe park and I was racing mamã and papá but they are still faster than me :-). We did loads of christmas food shopping at the British store and I visited the polar bear/penguins/walrus show.

My 6th Birthday

Yes, I am 6....I can use my new ID for the bus, metro. I made 48 cakes with my mamã for my class and the 2nd class in our year as well as the teachers. I arrived at school with TWO big tins. At home I had balloons with "6 Today" and many presents/cards. Thank you to everyone for everything as well as the calls. Kisses and Hugs to you all... from the 6 year old birthday boy :-)

Gran Canary Holidays

Wow, we had so much fun in Gran Canary. We went sliding down sand dunes, we went sliding down water parks, we went uphill into and across the mountains, we visited zoo with many types of parrots and dolphin show, I had a photo taken with a seal (that made my head very smelly of fish :-)), I had a dragon tattoo like papá (that is already disappearing), we joined cowboys and indians at 'stunt shows' and I got dressed up too, I also became a devil for the evening of halloween.
I got a Ben Ten watch early birthday present (and told my parents the time every minute for quite some time :-)), we played/swam at 4 different beaches, we had great food and sun (25-28 deg C) as well as I joined the mini-disco two nights following the professional dancer :-)....and now we returned to the cooler Belgium.

Grandma and Ti'pah came to visit and help while mamã was away in Shanghai and Cincinnati. I helped in the garden and we went for walks and we did my homework in french and we went to Florian's birthday party and we made cakes....:-)
The day before we went to Gran Canary we went to Francisco and Kim's wedding....there was champagne and orange outside the church...of course I wore my cravate :-) I got a bag of sweets and St Nicholas speculoos biscuits and I shared them with my mamã and papá and new friends I met at the wedding + Aira and Miguel.

First Day at School

I am in the 6th Class at School and I am very serious about it....I dressed on the first day with my 'cravate' and smart shirt and troussers....everyone commented on how smart I was. I have my new rucksack, pens/pencilcase and ready to go. I have my own desk with an area below the desk to store my books, papers and pencil case. I am at the end of a row. My teacher is called Valérie and she is pregnant. We are 21 in the class. My friend Anaël is with me :-)
I will get homework Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - I am immediately learning numbers/multiplications with numbers to 20 and how to read and write.

My mamã wanted to share some more fun photos so here are family photos from over the last few weeks. Grandma and Ti'pah came to Brussels in June and also helped rebuild the front of our garden but mamã and papá wanted them to also enjoy some of the beglium summer activities too - we went to folk country festival next to the Atomium, new museum in Antwerp and with Ti'pah to Gentsefest.
Also in Porto, I loved going to the Saint festivities and seeing all the very welcoming, loving family. I am also enjoyed swimming - I swam the whole length of the pool without stopping not only once but many times + i dived and touched the bottom of the shallow to the deep end and I swam across the width holding my breath :-)
I also learnt to use chopsticks and wanted to use them at every meal time.

Wow summer has been very busy with one week in England with Ti'pah and Grandma...Lauren also came to stay for a few days and Auntie Vicky came in and out to play and brought me a very fun frog neck pillow for all my international travelling. We went swimming, to the playground, shops and had a picnic plus played loads of cards and made lots of drawings (here I show one I made of the playground in Twyford). Then Tio Ricardo collected me from England and I spent one week in Porto before my parents cames to join for another week staying at Quinta da Mar and with Vovô and Vovó. Rodrigo stayed most days and we went to the beach, played tennis, swimming, even went to the zoo and I had a parrot on my shoulder. I also saw Cars 2 at the cinema. One weekend we were in Vale Cambra visiting family and I played with my cousins esp Tomas and danced and danced to VERY late in the night :-) (as mamã and papá were not there :-)).

Spring is here

Wow 2 weeks of lovely spring weather....Anaël, my best friend, came to play with football kickers, pirate ship, transformers, cars, gogous (? spelling plastic little space creatures)...

Here I am in my "Rupert" pyjamas and holding mamã's teddy bear with his tartan troussers too.
I helped mamã in the garden collecting the leaves and then I enjoyed rolling around in the grass and just contemplating (well showing off for the camera).

Here I am in my two favourite outfits.
"I am a Pirate and Captain of the Seas" - I have my sword and I have my ship and men ready to defend our honour"....And "I am a Knight of the Maltese Guards" with my latest acquisition from playing catching the ducks in the water. I always have a BIG smile.
I am counting very well and learning how many syllables there are in each word.
I know not to eat a lot of sugary things and chips and drink coca cola/ice tea as I am still growing but mamã and papá can as they are not growing any more.
I love to dance looking into the mirror after my bath with my hair sticking up :-)

Carnival

Carnival has begun.....yoohoooo....I can wear my Pirate outfit...I am the Captain of the Seas....I had loads of fun marching and dancing with my friends from school. We stopped all the traffic as we walked across the valleys and streets of Wezembeek-Oppem. At the end we arrived in a magic kingdom with castles (bouncy) and fishing (ducks) plus loads of yummy chocolate cakes. After I carried on overseeing my pirate boat and men with my castle in the distance.

St Nicholas

St Nicholas....more parties and presents. We watched a magician who kept 'making' pigeons. I had a batman face and my very first tattooooooo. I sat on St Nicholas' lap and was very shy but still said thank you for my present of mechanico.
I am 1m18 tall and about 23.5 kg...I am one of the tallest in my class at school. I come back from school most days with a small cut somewhere on my leg, arm, face...I love to run around and have loads of energy. I am a big eater and love bread. I know my routine to go to sleep. No teeth are loose yet. I love to hear stories every night. I draw pictures most days at the guarderie and Max copied me...we draw batman, boats, laser guns, rainbows, pirates, sun, trees, houses....many different things.

winter holiday - Algarve

We went to the Algarve and had lots of fun...visiting the towns on the coast, playing with the sand and in the sea. I went driving a racing car (as well as papá). We looked at many appartments to see if to buy one (not yet...). Vovô and vovó came to visit us too...we visited Algarve old city centre and said goodbye to mamã who left earlier for work...I went back to the racing cars :-)

My birthday - I am 5 years old

Yes, yes, yes...it's time for presents and cakes and games and cards and phone calls...wow I am spoilt. I am now a big 5 years old. Mamã and papá bought me a football kickers/pool/hockey/tabel tennis game...I play nearly every day after school the football kickers. I can twist my wrist faster and faster every day and getting stronger and stronger...Mamã is learning with me and was worse than me to start with. For my party we played at an indoor adventure place with cake and crepes. In the morning, mamã and I made 50 small cakes for my school classroom - I ate at least 4 at school. In the evening we had a pirate cake too.

Halloween & Bon Fire Night

It was really cool....we went by boat across to Grandma and Ti'pah's house for dressing up and fire works :-)
Auntie Vicky, Uncle Keith and Lauren came to visit too. Look how scarey Lauren and I are -ohwhwhwhwhw (yes I am learning the letters and numbers at school but this is suppose to be a sound - I am good with the numbers and can count up to 60 and more....). We also went to see FIRE WORKS (Mamã's favourite thing and I like them too....) We also saw a big fire that was very nice and warm. I went on the 'dodgers' (bumping cars) with Papá and Lauren with her Papá. I also went 'fishing' for the ducks. It was loads of fun :-)

My castle room

You have seen my castle bed...now I have stories on my wall and also added a guard on my door under my name....I am learning the letters in all 3 languages. I am much better at my numebrs now...I can add up and I can count to 20, 30, 40. I emjoyed the Christmas calendar where I could see all the numbers to 24. I am better at numbers than with the letters. Sometimes I like to play a game of letter and word where we draw the word...like A for apple and draw an apple or first draw something and then I say the word and therefore letter.
Here is also a sunny picture in October in the park in Vilvoorde close to Drei Fontainen restaurant...yes we sat outside on the terrace in the sun.

Sports

I love to play football....here I am in our graden poised for the camera....Yes, I am left footed (and I write with my left hand). I play at 10.00 every Saturday with the St Pauls British Primary Football Club in Vossem for the outdoor season and Morsel for the indoor season. Papá is a coach - there are 4 coaches and about 20 children 4-5 years old. I have scored a few goals. I like the pirate game where we have to kick the balls onto the island where the coaches are...it's funny.
After football at 11.45 I go swimming...I have started to enjoy it again and am swimming without a float and starting proper arm strokes. We also practice walking on the bottom of the pool. After we have our lunch at our favourite restaurant and I draw, colour or watch "Archos" (kind of DVD player).

School First Day

Grandma and Ti'pah with Papá took me to my first day at School - I am now in the Troisiéme Maternele Classe (3rd Maternele Class) and my teachers are called Genevieve and Marielle.
Mamã came to the parents evening and saw all the following: The classroom is great - it is like a amphitheatre and then has 4 corners with different activities - one is a kitchen, another playarea of balls. We go into the cloakroom to hang our coats, put our rucksacks and change our shoes (when it is snowing). We have also an area upstairs with tables and chairs and we can look down over the amphitheatre. We even have a computer :-) and do exercises on the computer. Every Monday we go to the gym and we also spend an hour playing with our friends from the Primaire Classe (1st year - 6 years old). We also are told Monday an activity to complete by Friday and I am quite good on doing it without the end of week reminder.

Princess and Wedding

Here we are all very smart waiting from the Princess in her white dress. Wow...I followed her around all evening and night. Church wedding started 7 pm and I ate and partied until the bus home to our hotel in Madrid, Spain, at 3 am in the morning....I am in most wedding photos of the happy couple :-) I smiled all the time and was very well behaved. I had loads of fun...thank you Princess Tania and Rui for inviting me.

Grandma and Ti'pah came to vist end August.
I took them to show my profession...Knight of the Hardman Rodrigues Heraldry.
We first had to drive in the car vs use my motorbike as there were 5 people to take. The sun was very hot and there were loads of comrades and villagers and places to eat and things to see...
We watched jousting, fighting, a puppet show, I tried a few old games including jousting myself.
I also have a magnet puzzle world map now hanging on my castle bedroom wall - I know we live where the flag is and where portugal and england are, where Grandma and Ti'pah live and vovô and vovó live.

The photo of me on my motorbike is in front of my favourite restaurant...lunch after swimming on the Saturday...chicken, apple sauce, salad, chips and ice cream....in Stokkel.

Efteling Amusement Park

No swimming....so off we went to Efteling in Holland....old children's stories amusement park and with loads of new fun rides. I enjoyed the chair carousel, spinning tea cups and water rafting - we all got wet especially me and papá - we walked off the ride trying to widen our legs to stop our jeans sticking to our legs....we laughed and laughed. I even went on a toboggan with papá - i did not cry from fear but I could not see too much outside. I ate a very very large ice cream and got to keep the 'Efteling head' cup and I got a jedi sword...."Power be with you" (and reminds me of the video where I was one of the 'children' of Yoda in Star Wars film. We stayed until the place closed at 12.00 pm and I told mamã and papá I would fall asleep immediately when I got in the car....15 seconds later I was asleep :-)

Back from Porto

Mamã and papá left Sunday 4 pm after the local party in "Amial" Vale Cambra with the family....we had big lunch in the back of Bivó's house. Here I am eating home made ice cream cake from vovó. Do you like my short, teenager haircut?
Mamã and papá stayed in Burgos on the way home by car. After a week vovô took me home by plane. I bought and brought a present for mamã and papá - 2 flowers for mamã and a tie for papá. Whenever I ask for presents from mamã and papá, I remind them I brought them presents :-)
With vovô we visited Gert, Maira and new arrival Tobias. We went to the 'beach party' along the canal in Brussels and I disco danced while the adults had a drink and then I went 'bungy jmping' for the first time - yeeeepeeee, so much fun and exhausting.

Rodrigo's Christening and Beach

Sun and sun....some wind....but loads of fun even in the cold Porto sea. I built sand castles and went walking in the rocks and played loads with my cousin Rodrigo. I even got my first Porto football clothes and I think I look very cool. I prefer the clothes to watching a full game at the stadium. I enjoyed Rodrigo's christening and thought it was very funny when he got water on his head....he did not cry and was very well behaved.
Mamã, papá and I went to Viagem Medieval de Feira (Medieval Voyage) and we had loads of fun....I got a knight's cross painted on my face, i played many different medieval games, we climbed upto the castle, we ate medieval cooked pork, we went for a walk in the magic woods and joined the fairies and wizard.

Drive to Porto

We went by car to Porto for holidays....1200 km each way. I joined mamã and papá in the car to Porto and they drove back alone leaving me at the local party in Vale Cambra for another exciting one week's holiday. I am a very good passenger in the car...I played, talked and played "I spy with my little eye something beginning with white, blue, green, red....inside and outside the car" - we had lots of fun and laughter playing this game. Papá did most of the driving...he preferred to drive at his pace versus mamã :-) We stopped in Versailles but there were so many people we could not visit the Chateau. In Niot we stopped to see the castle and try to look for dinner restaurant but it was sooooooo quiet that we could not find a place open so we drove onto Saintes where we would sleep....we found a good meat restaurant. We went for a beautiful long walk around 9pm in Saintes through the old and new city visiting the roman artefacts...a lovely way to wind down after the long drive. The next day we drove via Basque country and to Chavres on Portuguese side for dinner in the fort castle....great yummy meal. We walked around again at night to see another castle and arrived in Porto around 11pm....kisses to all and then to sleeeeeeeeeep in a proper bed (Tia's old bedroom). Wow.

Summer 2010

In June and July....wow it was very warm....I enjoyed ALL three swimming pools in our garden from the small pink fish from our holidays in Greece last year...to my pirate ship (here playing with Florian) and our luxurious lie-back swimming pool. I love to play although I am not ready to jump into big deep swimming pools without some type of float to help. Anyway enjoy these warm summery pictures.

I went to England to stay with Grandma and Ti'pah for a week when mamã went to America. Mamã and papá went on the motorbike and watched the World Cup Final in centre of Brussels - Spain vs Germany - Spain won....:-)

Last day in the second Maternelle and time to say goodbye to my teacher Geraldine who has been my teacher for my first 2 years. Here I am in the classroom and you can see some of our activities behind my head. Summer will now begin....and I am off to meet Grandma and Ti'pah with mamã and papá in Calais on Saturday. I had two days of 'stage' and then we drove to Calais. We took Grandma and Ti'pah out for lunch by the fort of Calais...I saw fresh mussels and other fish coming out of the boat and being sold. We had a yummy lunch with very decorative plates. Then I was ready to go and excited to go on the big boat with Grandma and Ti'pah to England for 10 days. I got a new green car on the boat. Mamã went to USA and had to run across New York airport to get home on a different flight to spend the weekend with Papá.
I saw Lauren at Grandma and Ti'pah's house and had loads of fun playing different games and going to new swings/slides at the park near the house. Grandma took me back to Brussels by the train...she was very kind. I was so excited to see my mamã when we arrived :-).

My castle bed

I have a new special bed and it is my castle...I am very happy with my new home - I sleep on top and I play underneath. I peer through the 'walls' for my bedtime stories and I can close my fortress walls to keep other people out :-)

I am also learning to write letters and words. I copy but I can already count and write 0-9 without any help (taught by my grandma). Here I am writing "dog, cat, leaf, water" with my mamã while papá is on an aeroplane to Dammam...

Cousin Rodrigo

My cousin Rodrigo came to visit - his first visit outside Portugal. I loved to kiss him and I got him to make 'gurgling noises' to Tia and Tio's great satisfaction. We had loads of fun with lots of warm weather. We went to Walibi where I had my photo taken with every single animal, as well as went on the roller coaster, Tutankahmum and Spongebob 4-D and the ferris wheel and the aeroplane and and....We also went to a mediaeval festival and I wore my knight clothes, we went on a train as well as visited the beach. Rodrigo and I played in the garden and on the bouncy castle. Lots of kisses to you, Rodrigo.

Yes I am enjoying one of my favourite things - ice cream and the big slide. It is the school fete and there are loads of games including fishing the ducks and bouncy castles of all different sizes, a disco and food but I am more interested in the coca cola (well they had no ice tea so I had to have coca cola).

Building

I love to build towns with blocks and cars. I also love to watch Charlie and Lola...while my mamã and papá were in India for Uncle Josh's wedding, Grandma and Ti'pah came to look after me....there was a lot of works in the house as we got a new kitchen and painted ceilings...
Below is mamã and papá at a place called "Taj Mahal" - suppose to be a romantic place...I am not sure what that is....something to do with the kisses I give the girls or girl at school although she is NOT my girlfriend.

I am now Knight Hardman Rodrigues of the Maltese Knights. I have my shield and dagger and have taken weaponary lessons at the Castle of Eftenberg. I am very friendly until you make me annoyed...or I am tired or I want chocolate or I want chocolate croissant, then I am deadly. I have loads of energy and can dance lightly on my toes around and around you to make you dizzy. I can walk miles and miles shouting as a knight in battle....

Brussels and easter egg hunting

Here I am again on my scooter - this time with vovó in one of my favourite parks (Tervuren) - I feed the ducks bread, I play football, I ride my bicycle and I ride my scooter. Look at my new gloves from Tia and Tio.
Also I had a party....I wrote the invitations myself (pictures and the names) and Mamã wrote the date and address. We did easter egg hunting and ate loads of cakes and crisps - I made the cakes with Mamã :-)

I have a trotinette (Scotter) and I am very happy - having used Tiago (Gabel and Ze-Miguel's) scooter at Christmas...I have been asking for one...Mamã and Papá say this is my easter present. Yeeepeeee. I am very fast but also lazy....after a few minutes on it I want to give it to someone to carry it...well you can guess who...Papá is teaching me to "fly" with both my feet on it.
We went on a holiday - I packed my own small suitcase of cars, toys, books and doudo...I looked for the taxi to take us to the airport but we went by car....we went to a beautiful farm house with a swimming pool and a sauna (why do people like saunas, it was very boring). We had a big dinner and I had burger and chips in a basket and afterwards an ice cream - yummmmy. The next day we visited the "SeaLife" in Blankenberge and I got a very special badge after we watched the seals. We had lunch at the seaside and then I went cycling along the sand dunes path which was loads and loads of fun :-)

Carnival

Look at me - I am wearing my carnival shirt and a mask I made at school. Mamã and papá call me a 'harlequin' :-) I wanted to wear it every day. I wore it also out on Sunday when we all went out - grandma and ti'pah came too. We went to a music museum - this was loads of fun. I had earphones and when I ran from one place to another infront of different instruments I heard different music. I was playing the drums and dancing in front of different windows :-)

I also love my pirate ship and castles. Here I am lying behind them - I have lots of pirate men, I have cat, mice, food, barrels, treasure, flags, beds, bell, lantern....

Brussels

Snow again but this time sledging...it was not fun until I went head first down the slope - then it was fun....yeeepeeeeeeee. We also went on a snow motorbike - wow, that was so exciting. After we had hot chocolate in a cafe' in Malmedy - yummy.

We celebrated "3 wise kings' - I got to eat lots of great food - here I am sitting at the head of the table.

And now I can swim on my back fully clothed... mamã and papá were very proud of me...I played with the ball and floats in the swimming pool after taking all my very wet clothes off.

Happy New Year to you all...we went to Porto by aeroplane to see my NEW cousin Rodrigo. I like to stroke his face and give him kisses. I am going to boss him around when he gets older :-)

Look, I am already a natural cousin - taking care of him as he sleeps, drinks milk, sleeps and drinks milk.

We had loads of parties every day - all the relatives and friends came to visit. I already started to work too to make some money to buy my own car.

I also did cooking and made aletria with vovó...I like to stick my tongue out when I concentrate on anything.

It's a very, very white Christmas...I've been playing many times in the snow in our garden, at school and we left for grandma and ti'pah's house on Monday 21st December and we loads of snow...we had to wait 4 hours to take the train in the tunnel and we sat in a lot of traffic...we stopped for dinner in Slough and we arrived after 15 hours - then I played for another hour before going to sleep :-)

Happy Christmas to everyone. I had apple champagne. Father Christmas came down the chimney - I told grandma and ti'pah to turn of the fire to make it not hot for him - I also put a carrot and cake for him to eat and they had gone in the morning. I had loads of presents that I put in my bedroom ready to take home. Each day I took more and more presents to play with but made sure they all went home.

We saw lots of friends and family - Auntie Vicky, Uncle Keith, Lauren and Melanie, Sally, John, Andrew, Melinda, David, Chloe, Sophie and Auntie Cherith

My 4th Birthday

It is my 4th Birthday - I made my own hat cutting out the crown and orange circles and sticking them onto the hat and also writing 4. Swimming lessons

This month I started with swimming lessons....Here I am with a float on my belly and kicking on my back, next lesson I had nothing and swam 2 secs without my head going under water. It's a warm small pool with 2 teachers that are trying to get me to put my eyes in the water, which I do NOT like even with my goggles...where is my towel to wipe my eyes?!

Since I love cars, I am much into motor sports too; here I am giving it a try at karting with vovô and vovó watching in the background...

Growing grapes

Can you see me amongst the grapes - our first year to get grapes even in this belgium weather...quick let's take them very sweet purple grapes before the birds eat any more.
Here you can see how tall I am - I am 1.08 m tall (top 10% of belgium charts) and heavy heavy 19.8 kg (although I have not changed weight in 5 months now...) I have to watch my mamã's back.
I am now dressing myself in the morning and undressing myself in the evening alone. I am very good at washing my own teeth and I still love to hear stories at night - one of my favourites is hearing all the stories about making flour, cutting trees, stories of the pigs and the policeman.

I had loads of fun at a place called "walibi" - lots of rides 'ups and downs' and 'arounds', plus Sponge-Bob show where the chair moved and I got wet. I laughed and laughed on the rides below. Wow, there were so many things for me to do...and I had hot dog for lunch and I went on cars and I went on trains and I worked in a mine...and there were no queues...

Summer in Greece

Now I am really loving to swim in the sea...here the water in Greece is warm but also I am now a big boy - I have my armbands on and out I go...kick, paddle, laughing until I get water in my eyes and then I run out of the sea and dry my eyes with the towel

Look at me, I am on an elephant in Goa, India...no I am not...I am in Coimbra, Portugal in the "Small Houses Museum" - Portugal was soooooo big a few years ago in places like Macau, Angola...- I learnt a lot about art and how small the people were - I could not even stand up in some of their houses.

mHere I am with one closed eye...why...I got stung by a mosquito. Mamã and papá took me to the chemist to get some medicine but they sent me to the hospital where only one parent could go with me but I was fine and went back to the chemist to get some medicine...Here I am visiting Tozé and Cristina and Katerina (Bea was away so I could play with all her toys). I am learning to count so there is 1,2,3,4,5 people in the photo.

Long weekend in Sauerland

Germany Sauerland

We visited Attendorn and Atta-hoehle caves - we walked down a deep slope and then there were pretty wet rocks everywhere - small and large ones and we walked up and down and listened to a person talking in german. I was not afraid although it was very dark sometimes.

We took a long time to reach this castle...mamã and papá kept talking to each other about "not another diversion" - not sure what that means - so I looked outside the window and I slept also (I am a good person in the car). When we arrived at "Altena" it was raining very hard and we climbed up a steep hill so I asked papá to carry me most of the way.
Then I enjoyed it inside the castle - there was a special "scouts room" with many beds inside.

Here I am as a 'dashing' knight in armour...ready for my sword? The 'hood' was soooo heavy, that I nearly fell over just wearing it.

Back to the old days and I am being eaten by a Dinosaur....fear not, my mamã and papá will save me.
After being saved, we had a lovely dinner outside on the terrace in a "biergarten" in this town called Arnsberg.

The next day, we visited the lakes near Hirschberg before driving to Soest for lunch where there were many bicycles (and a lot of rain). We had a big lunch and visited churches before mamã bought a helmet for her bicycle (grey colour, mine is a green helmet).
After lunch we went to a railway museum in Bochum - so many types of trains with some weird double decker high speed one. Again it rained and rained so I had a chance to play some games especially for children.

Then it was another long drive (comfortable in papá's new BMW 104 sports car) via Essen (church with gold Madonna and child) to Köln where there is a very, very large church. We had dinner - a type of pizza - by the river and I loved running off to play and just be naughty - I am always full of energy :-). Here I am with mamã in Köln next to a smaller church. Aufwiedersehen.

This year I saw São João (St. John) festivities in Porto for the first time (Jun 24 every year). Oh, how much fun I had!
Look at those fireworks that mamã and papá went to see on the River.

The best things for me were the plastic hammers where I could hit everyone and the hot air balloons which flew off into the sky.

The start of an action packed day in Eurodisney...I wanted to see Mickey.
I was a very good boy in every queue - how long were they - one hour for a 1.5 minutes ride...more, more, more...and I saw Mickey and his friends Pluto dancing. We stayed to 11 in the evening and bought mickey and his friends book, bath toys, table mat. I loved "it's a small world"...

Here we are in Dumbo...and yes we all 3 squeezed into the one Dumbo - up and down and around.

Then in front of Alice in Wonderland's maze. My favourite ride was "It's a small world" - beautiful.

Long weekend in England

I visited mini England with Grandma, Ti'pah and mamã and papá. I am so tall (1.80 m already and 19.6 kg). I loved to see all the trains in mini England, going around and around.

Anyone want an ice cream? traditional creamy ice cream? Not sure what that means but it sounds very tastey and loads of people wanted one.

Here I am again helping in the garden. Ti'pah and grandma bought me my own rake.

Lazing around in the house...ahhhhhhhh.I love to hear stories before bed time...and soon I will be quoting you so make sure you tell the right story...Two of my favourites are "The bear with no clothes" and "Catch a little Star".

Sun, Sea and Sand and lots of walking, climbing in a place mamã and papá say is called Petra. I had a ride on a donkey. I walked on papá's shoulders for kilometres and kilometres. I also walked myself but the first day I just wanted to play with the stones and sand on the ground. The second day I walked and climbed and loved it - more than 5 kilometres on my own. I also saw camels and hid inside the tombs.

Here I am collecting bush wood to make a fire for very hot sweet tea (that made me very sick) with our driver. Our local beach and the 40 ft flag in the distance.
It's Easter time in Jordan and I am saying hello to the big white bunny rabbit. I collected easter eggs hidden in the bushes around the swimming pools. I liked very much the pools where I could jump up and down in the water and play with balls too.

Also I am an Actor - I stand in front of the long bathroom mirror at home and 'act' - laughing, smiling, dancing up and down, making faces and statue positions. I have also started dressing myself - putting on my underpants. I like to mix the eggs to make cakes.

Hello Smurf...it's the Balloon Parade in Brussels centre. There were characters from cartoons and music and dancing - loads of fun. My favourite was Dr Zeuss - he is one of my favourite books to read. After the parade, I had a BIG ice cream in a cafe'.

In Aachen we went to the children's parade. The children throw sweets, cakes, toys. I got many and collected them in a bag.

Here I am as a little devil for the school carnival celebration.

Snowing in Brussels - a lot! Here we all are - and it has stopped raining for long enough to take the photo. I had laods of fun - I wrote a letter to Pai Natal and posted it...I saw more than 100 dolls of Pai Natal...we walked through the "Nutcracker" play area where I went on the bouncy castle (scarey) and met Pai Natal twice, once with his green elf helper - if they are not looking I go up to them and tap them to turn around, shake their hand and sit on their knee. We also watched a play on the "Nutcracker" - very funny and I liked a girl so I run up onto the stage afterwards to join in the dancing :-)

Yes, we found snow in Trás-os-Montes and saw a lot of great colourful masks and costumes. We climbed the castle up and up and then had to rush down and down to go to the toilet :-). We had hot chocolate in a 'celtic bar' down the road on the left.

I love Pai Natal and I am singing songs. I love Christmas Mickey DVD - I know all the stories.
Yes, bang bang bang as we pulled the 'crackers' and tried to eat some very heavy sweets from english christmas.
Who are those two Father Christmas helpers - they came on a motorbike very late at night. Tomás looks just as surprised as me. I loved all my presents especially my noddy car, fire engine and plod police car. We had a big party at the house of Isabel and Quim in Vale de Cambra on Christmas Eve and another one on Christmas Day (after opening another big bag of presents). Big hugs and kisses.

Mamã and papá are off to Galicia Spain for the beautiful wedding of Miguel Grillo and Felisa - CONGRATULATIONS.
I was soooo happy to see mamã and papá at Porto airport when it was time to leave - I thought they had left me behind.

Here I am at beach of Quinta Da Mar - waving of course and trying not to get my feet wet, well you think this but mamã and papá lfted me up to stop me wanting to get my feet wet and jump in the sand. I love playing along hee, even when it's cold.

We went to Chuck and Lina's wedding in Solingen Germany and I was such a talker and dancer to midnight...I am quite shy though so I did not want to show my face in the 'official' photo below (not sure what 'official' means). It was a fun place with cars, big candles on the grass, lots of food with a big cake. The nex day we visited Bruehl where I am trying to be a statue inside the garden, showing off my 1 metre height. I am a joker now - I love to make people laugh and to be tickled.

First Day at School

Here I am returning from my first day at school with bags in tow and most important a biscuit in my hand :-). My school is called "La Fermette" and it is only 500 m from our home. My teacher is called Geraldine and we are a class of 3 year olds mixed with a class of 4. I have my morning snack at 10 am where I put my snack box when I arrive at school into a box called Poussines. I will have lunch at school (first week nothing...). I start at 8.30 am and I started to settle down in the class when at 3.30 pm I was sent to meet other people and a mix of children tall and big (older I think than me!?). Every morning I hang my coat under my name and after ensuring Mamã or Papá put my snack in the right place we sit down in the class room for a story. There is painting, puzzles and many things. I go to the gym on a Wednesday with Jean-Claude as our driver. The best is playing in the sandpit after 3.30 pm when the sun is out...

Summer holidays in Porto and1st haircut

Sand, beach, swimming pool, football, bucket and spade. I liked to play in the sand but not go into the water - it was so cold...but I loved to jump "1,2,3" in the swimming pool. I held my nose and 'jumped' in and out and in and out, I went under the water and came up blinking, clearing my ears and eyes and then laughing and smiling. I even paddled up and down the pool with my arm bands and ring...I asked to go everyday and all day in the swimming pool :-)
Yes, I have had my hair cut - the first time by a professional - I sat in a special high cushion and I cried as my lovely blond hairlocks dropped to the floor...After quite some time to 'correct' Papá's 2 yrs and 10 months of cutting my hair (who said 'correct' - I think he did very well), I started to like my new hairstyle including the gel - I looked at myself in the mirror and ran to tell the family, pointing to myself and saying "Tiago bonito" (beautiful).

Last Day at the Creche

When we enter the motorway at the weekend I say "not this way" as I think we are going to the creche...I recognise the route. Also I know how to get home that I can tell the taxi driver from the airport to our house :-)

Goodbye Cindy, goodbye Nadine and goodbye Super Club Des As and Maminou. It is my last day at the creche and I am sitting outside the house where I waved every morning to Mamã or Papá. I am now showing you my creation with more creations inside. I am a big boy now.
Mamã & Papá have told me I am now going to school...but, AFTER, the holidays in Porto. I know the school as we often walk and visit the goats outside the school. We also drive past it nearly every day.

Fun activities - Piscina Swimming Pool

My first pony ridy

Horse day - in Tombeek - loads of lovely horses - I had to put on a hat which I did not want to wear - and sat on a pony (small horse) and went around the woods. My pony was called Titan and was 8 years old (birthday 8 July). I also loved the bouncy castle and the sausages (I ate 3) and running around in the mud to see the horses (obstacle races, mamã called them).

I still do not want my face painted - what is that weird 'fashion'. I like to put my fingers/hands in the paint and down on the table, paper not on my face (although I try mamã's face/body creams)

I walked up the 100 steps to see the big Lion which I could not see when I got to the top but there was a cool breeze in a sunny day. We saw more men sweating and I could run across fields.

Germany The Mosel, Monschau, Trier

Sun, lots of lovely food, sand and no sun, lots of small streets and lovely old buildings with mosques (my parents called them). One place was a very big room full of columns and my mamã and papá (Cordoba).

So we visited Ronda, Sevilla, Cordoba, Baeza, Ubeda, Jaen, mountains, Granada, Almuñecar.

Visited Grandma and Ti'pah with Mamã only. We took the Eurostar train to London - I like trains but did not understand that it was moving - I enjoyed eating, playing on the train and see a few cars/trucks outside passing by. Anutie Helena and Uncle Raymond met us - I was shy - not sure who those people are...At the house Lauren and Auntie Vicky also visited so I had a great play friend - we ran and ran around the garden, throwing and kicking balls.

Trains, trains, trains. I went for a ride 'on' the train with mamã and papá and heard lots of different noises as we went across bridges along 1 km. There were electric and coal/steam engines...

What a wonderful castle town Czesky Krumlov is...we climbed up and up an old house with very small stairs to the top where there were many puppets with strange looking shapes and faces and others of 'man', we watched a band and army below the tower in the picture where there were also two bears. We climbed the tower and walked along the palace...we stayed right in the town and I kept my parents busy running after me as I explored the streets. Not so sure I liked the local food but most places I could play...one dinner I went up and down, up and down a slide next to the table :-)

My first successful espresso. Well, I have been passed remnants from my parents for weeks/months but now I managed to make my own whole cup - a decaf, whatever that is - oh and also made with some extra flowing liquid from the machine. Anyone else for a coffee?

From snow in Brussels to sun in Porto for Easter. What is snow...it was all white in the evening and Papã and I built a snowman...then in the morning all the white was gone except the snowman. Then we took the plane which goes boom boom (bump bump) as it lands to Porto where the sun was shining. We visited everyone giving cakes while I got given chocolates - yummyyyyy. I think the Papãs enjoyed the chocolate diaper changing...We also had another cake with candles for Tio's 30th Birthday.

I am hiding as I was not feeling well, too much of a hang-over from the wedding party the night before...I put on a brave face as we met everyone but I was very happy to take my suitcase later and take the plane home to my warm bed. A 24 hour flu.

You can not see how smart I am in my outfit for Ruth and Tom's wedding in Hartington, UK. Mamã wanted to show me giving a cuddle and kiss to James but she missed the moment. I had a great time running around the house keeping the 3 baby-sitters busy as the party continued late at night.

No rain - yeepeeee - look how we have all grown - here is Lucas, Jacob, Florian and unfortunately Cameron is inside as he just stepped into the garden pond...We played 'race around' the garden on our grand prix cars and I wanted to show the best game 'drive into each other' (I think Uncle Josh taught me that....oops).

Do you like my hair do? I am getting much more hair...it's thicker but fine and pretty much none existent. It's curly and mouse brown colour. Papã still cuts it...so dutch style I have cheap haircuts...(what's dutch style - my hairdo!?). I like my baths and I will soon want to soap myself...luckily my parents company invented this soapy product where I can squeeze and squeeze and the liquid soap pours out and out.

Happy 2008 - Yes my new year resolutions are to be a good boy, to fall asleep as soon as I go to bed (instead of talking, asking for more cars, wanting more milk) and to obey everything my parents tell me....Now I will let you into a secret - since I do not understand what a resolution is I think I can say probably they will not happen :-)

Mamã made loads of efforts for a special meal, she called it, with a special candle and cake. It seemed to be just an excuse to eat even more food, a continuation from the whole week. Now if you did not know already I have a very healthy diet and love my food. I am very good with my spoon and fork at mealtimes and now even eat all my vegetables (well, a few more than a few weeks ago). Tio and Tia came to visit too - lots of fun and playing with cars.
